The Home of the WRFL Umpires Become an Umpire Today

By becoming a Member of the WRFLUA, you help support the association. Gold Members also receive entry to all social events during the year for free.

WRFL Umpires Association 2018 membership fees:

  • Senior member $100
  • Junior member $60
  • First year academy members free

WRFL Umpires Association 2018 Gold membership fees:

  • Senior $100
  • Junior $80

Gold membership is in addition to the general membership fee and provides free entry into functions including the dinner dance and presentation night.

To give you an idea, if you were to attend the Mid-Season Ball alone, then your ticket price is effectively covered by the cost of your Gold Membership. Throughout the year, there are numerous other social activities which are also free for Gold Members, as well as the end of year Presentation Night. All of these items are included in your Gold Membership with nothing further to pay.

The WRFLUA relies on your support as a Member and in particular a Gold Member, to continue to be a functional, viable association that is run by the umpires, for the umpires. Without your support, our association would cease to exist.

We thank all current and past Gold Members for their support and hope that they will continue to support us in future.

Membership fees are deducted from match payments in two or three installments during the year.

The WRFL Umpires Association is there to look after the interests of all umpires:

  • we negotiate your payments each year
  • run our main training facility at Hanmer Reserve in Seddon
  • provide training equipment, meals and drinks at the track
  • represent umpires at hearings such as tribunals and on other associated matters
  • run social functions such as the mid season dinner dance and end of year presentation night
  • provide trophies including grand final medallions to all members
  • when incidents happen in games we are there to protect you and your interests

We recommend that for a small fee you become a member of the Association, as at some time in the future you will need us.
